Friday, eMarketer featured a story, Mobile Marketing Ready for Takeoff , that adds to the expectation. They did include some wise caveats stating that “delivering something of value to the user is just as important as how a mobile campaign looks”. But, this is permission marketing 101 and mobile marketing is no different. Just because the majority of people in industrialized countries own a cell phone… and the capability of pushing messages to these devices exists, does not mean that it is a great idea.

What should I enter as my email address?

Answer: Please enter your primary email address. This is the address you were assigned when you originally subscribed to AT&T Internet Service. Although you may have set up additional email addresses, or “aliases” since then, you should use only your original email address. If you are not sure which address is your primary email address, look at the "Internet Service" section of your AT&T bill. The “User ID” listed, followed by @bellsouth.net is your primary email address.
