By Jon Halpin The quality of most Bluetooth headsets on the market is just adequate, but there are a few exceptions, such as the excellent Plantronics Voyager 510 . Similarly, the design of most headsets tends to be utilitarian, and they generally lack the aesthetic appeal of other consumer gadgets—even though, as they're most commonly seen dangling from the side of people's faces, they're among the most visible. Aliph's Jawbone, however, has reset the curve for audio and aesthetic quality in Bluetooth headsets. It sounds excellent, better than other headsets. Plantronics Voyager 510S Bluetooth Headset System
Our experience - We’ve found that occasionally we are not certain which telephone the Voyager is paired with, but more often than not, it is paired to the appropriate phone and having one single headset does have its advantages, especially when the headset is as good as the Voyager. For example... Some Bluetooth cell phone headsets suffer terribly from wind noise. This can be so much of a problem that at OfficeHeadsets.com we won't supply those models. But the Voyager 510S is a breed apart , with its new WindSmart Technology. Plantronics have managed to eliminate most of the distracting wind noise and we’re comfortable putting our seal of approval on it. Talk time is 6 hours, which can be a little on the short side for a headset that you tend to take with you over lunch, or home in the evening. We recommend getting an additional headset charger for home, to make sure that your headset gets its full charge overnight for the morning commute.
